Backside A-Back’s Footwork on Triple and Midline Triple Option

The following is the process for the Backside A-Back on Triple Option and Midline Triple Option.

1- Hammer Step (wide 90 degree dropstep)

2- Drive (off backside foot)

3- Take three more steps to get five yards behind the QUARTERBACK

4- On the sixth step, turn upward at 60 degrees and eye the Quarterback

5- Catch pitch with palms facing the Quarterback

6- Put playside fingertips, forearms, bicep, and sternum on ball

7- Hit the seam and score
