  • Tyrone (OK) Tyrone (OK)

In 2019, Tyrone (OK) finished 5-5.

In 2020, after running their Triple Option Football Academy Camp with Dr. Cella, Tyrone (OK) won the Oklahoma Class C State Championship while scoring 668 points in 13 games (51 points/game).

"In 2019 we missed the playoffs finishing 5-5 after reaching the semi finals in 2016 & 2017 and the quarterfinals in 2018. We were excited about the talent we had coming into 2020 but wanted an edge! Learning the triple option to add to our offensive sets was just what we needed.

"We won the regional, area and the schools first state championship in 60 years. Our team averaged 51.4 points per game and scored a total of 668 points in 13 games.

"We appreciated Dr Lou Cella's no-nonsense approach to teaching the 8 Man triple option during our 2020 camp, and his desire to teach every kid, then let them get as many reps as possible with their new skills. The camp was organized and an overall quality event."

    - Josh Bell, Head Football Coach

  • Falls City (TX) Falls City (TX)

Before the 2010 season, Falls City HS (TX) had never won a regional championship in school history.

In 2010, after running a camp with Lou Cella as Camp Director, Falls City HS (TX) won the Regional and State Championship for the first time in school history in Texas while scoring 680 points in 15 games.

"The biggest thing for us is that it gave our kids the opportunity to work together in our offensive system before the season started - the techniques and fundamentals they learned was so big, so was the team bonding, and so was having an outside source (Lou Cella) teaching them - this was invaluable."

    - Mark Kirchhoff, Head Football Coach

  • Bayfield (CO) Bayfield (CO)

After running a camp with Lou Cella as Camp Director, Bayfield HS (CO) had an undefeated regular season for the first time since 1996 and advanced to the state championship game in Colorado.

They did this with an Offensive Line that averaged 180 pounds.

"We were looking to take that next step, and felt that a camp might be just what the doctor ordered. We were not disappointed. We were already committed to the triple option, but the camp brought a much higher level of focus and understanding to our team, both players and coaches. Now when we tell our kids to 'trust the system' they know what we're talking about."

    - Marshall Hahn, Head Football Coach

  • Pamlico County (NC) Pamlico County (NC)

In 2016, Pamlico County (NC) won two (2) games and scored 108 points.

In 2017, after hosting a Triple Option Football Academy Camp with Dr. Cella, Pamlico County won nine (9) games and made it to the North Carolina Class 1A State Quarterfinals - all while scoring 508 points.

In 2018, Pamlico County goes 13-1 and is playing for the North Carolina Class A State Championship on Saturday, December 15th, at Duke University. Currently, Pamlico has 31 players on the team, 12 of which are freshmen. They have scored 611 points in 2018 and are averaging 44 points/game.

"The Triple Option Academy was huge for us as a program here at Pamlico County High School. Teams that thrive at the 1A level run system based offenses and that's what the Triple Option Academy gave us. Dr. Cella came out and worked with my players and myself. Dr. Cella helped put the system in place for us while we were in our spring football period. Offensively we went from scoring a total of 108 points in 2016 to scoring 508 points in 2017. The Triple Option Academy played a huge role in points scored for us. I am super excited to see what the future has in store for us in the second season of running this new offense."

    - Torrey Nowell, Head Football Coach, after his 2017 season.

  • Wyman King Academy (SC) Wyman King Academy (SC)

In 2022, after working with Dr. Cella, Wyman King Academy goes to the South Carolina State Championship game.

"We dressed 14 players for the majority of the season (one player quit after 2 games and we moved our 8th grade players up during the postseason).

"Of those 14, 7 different players scored a touchdown. And none of those were 'manufactured' by getting to the goal line and then playing a player out of position just to score a touchdown.

"6 of those 7 scored 5 or more touchdowns.

"We had 528 rushes and 36 receptions on the season. Total of 564 'touches.'

"The same 7 players accounted for all 564 touches. The lowest number was 5, but above him was a player with 39 and the other 5 players had 80 or more touches.

"I think the takeaway for us, and especially small schools like us, is that if you practice running the plays all week from the QB, A back, B back, and TE positions you can expect to see the ball on a Friday night.

"If you love under center option based football, or if you are in need of implementing a system that will maximize the potential of your players, we recommend giving Dr. Cella a call. He is passionate about this style of offense, stays current on all the best practices, and lays out a program that covers all the bases.

"However, the main reason we recommend becoming one of his clients has to do with his accessibility. Over the last six months each time I called, emailed, or sent him a text, I received a very prompt reply. The questions I had covered a range of topics such as in-season weight training ideas, pregame warmup routines, or the teaching of a specific fundamental. With each situation, he provided quality information in a timely manner.

"In life we need people we can depend on. Dr. Cella promises to be there for his clients and he is true to his word. His approach, without question, enabled us to get the most out of our talent."

    - Dennis Gibson, Offensive Coordinator

  • Timmonsville (SC) Timmonsville (SC)

In 2010, Timmonsville HS (SC) was running the Spread Offense and finished the 2010 season with a 1-9 record.

In 2011, after running a camp with Lou Cella as Camp Director, Timmonsville went to the South Carolina Class A State Semifinals and with a roster of 21 players.

"The camp/system was a key factor in our team's success in 2011 at Timmonsville High School. As a coaching staff we knew that the offense we ran in 2010 did not fit our current personnel and we consequently determined that the Flexbone offense was a good fit. With installing any new offense, two critical factors will determine its effectiveness: 1) For the coaching staff it's the knowledge and understanding of the offense to implement it. 2) For players it's the ability to buy into the offense and execute it without hesitation.

"The Flexbone system reduced the learning curve for those two critical factors for us by about 2 years and allowed us to experience immediate success. The Camp/System gave us everything we needed at the end of camp for me to do long range planning for the entire season with daily practice schedules. My assistant coaches had the knowledge and resources to coach position specific drills. My offensive coordinator had the information to put together a game plan and call plays in a strategic fashion.

"During the season if questions arose we would go back to the DVDs, visit the website or Lou Cella was just a phone call or email away for one on one advice. My players became a team during camp and finished camp with confidence and enthusiasm for the Flexbone offense that gave them the zeal to look forward to Summer practice and a chance to put the new offense into action through competition.

"The team building: enthusiasm and confidence and skills that were built in my players by the camp carried over into the season and was evident in our success. We were able to defeat our rival twice in the same year, which had not been accomplished since 1999. We had an opportunity to play for a region championship. We were able to defeat a team that has knocked us out of the State playoffs and Timmonsville High progressed to the South Carolina state semi-finals in our classification losing out by just 2 points. We increased our rushing yardage by 20% and rushing touchdowns by 50%. We plan to build on the success of this year for next season.

"The value of the camp cannot be measured in dollars and cents, although if you approach it from that angle it was a very cost effective strategy for us. I know many coaches would rather install an offense the traditional way by researching it, visiting colleges that run the offense and then picking coaches for information. The offense is then modified for their use using trial and error to develop the offense that best suits their high school's team needs.

"I have used that same strategy and I know that it takes about 3 years to really gain an understanding of the offense and get players to execute it at a high level. Consequently in the research method you do not have any collaboration with experts that are readily available when questions arise or resources that have consistency. We knew that we had a good group of kids for the next couple of years and wanted to give them an offense that they could be successful with immediately.

"We also concluded that by the time we visited colleges, bought DVDs, playbooks, and sent players to college camps to gain skills, we would have invested many times the cost of the camp. The cost effectiveness of the system coupled with its immediate impact and continued collaboration from the association made the camp an easy decision for us that has already paid big dividends and will continue to pay off in future seasons."

  • Cashmere (WA) Cashmere (WA)

In 2013, after working with Triple Option Football Academy Owner, Dr. Lou Cella, Cashmere High School (WA) broke the school record for rushing yards, broke the school record for total offensive yards, and went to the class A state semi-finals.

"We have run the double slot option offense with great success since 1999. We thought we understood the offense, especially after spending several days at the Air Force Academy. After Lou Cella's camp, we realized that our knowledge of this offense was only on the basic level. Lou quickly deducted that we were an experienced team and staff, and quickly took us to the next level of understanding. We set a new school record for rushing yards and total offensive yards as we reached the semi-final game of our State Tournament.

"Coach Cella is a master teacher. He moves fast, is articulate and extremely knowledgeable. We are so impressed with Lou that we will have him back again this summer to run our camp."

    - Phil Zukowski, Head Football Coach

  • Haverford (PA) Haverford (PA)

In 2023, Haverford High (PA) went 1-9. Then, after a May 2024 Triple Option Football Academy Camp with Dr. Cella, Haverford High went 11-2, broke the school record for most wins in a season, and won their first home playoff game in school history.

"We switched to the flexbone from the spread in 2023 and took our lumps, going 1-9. In 2024, we brought in Dr. Cella for our mini-camp in the spring and he absolutely changed the way that we thought about the offense. Dr. Cella was efficient and helped our players really nail down the concepts that we needed to be successful. His practice plan and methodology of coaching has changed our program for the better. We went 11-2 in 2024, winning our first home playoff game in school history, tied for most wins in program history and won our league title for the first time since 2015 and only the fourth time in the 40+ years of being in our league. Dr. Cella was an amazing resource that continues to help us grow as a program. We can't thank him enough!"

    - Luke Dougherty, Head Football Coach

  • Scobey (MT) Scobey (MT)

In 2023, Scobey (MT) won a total of 2 games. Then, in 2024, after working with the Triple Option Football Academy and Dr. Cella, Scobey went to the State Semifinals in 2024.

"After a 2-7 season, we knew a change was needed in our program. With only one senior coming back and no one with any quarterback experience, we started looking for ways to maximize our talent but minimize our offense. The academy was exactly what we were looking for and needed!

"The beauty of this offense is its simplicity in teaching what appears to be a complex system. Our players believe in the small number of plays we run because they know they have repped these plays against every imaginable look they will see.

"Being a small school requires most of our guys to be two-way players, and I firmly believe that the mentality this offense creates makes your defense better! We were more physical on both sides of the ball this year and it all starts with zone dive and option.

"Lou is ALWAYS available for questions and it's with his help that we were able to advance to the state semifinals this year. This offense has been a program changer for us!"

    - Brock Berryhill, Head Football Coach

  • Questa (NM) Questa (NM)

In 2024, after working with the Triple Option Football Academy and Dr. Cella, Questa (NM) won as many games as the previous 8 YEARS COMBINED and made the playoffs under first-year head Coach, Larry Roybal.

“We knew we had to run the triple option in an attempt to build our football program. Dr. Cella's academy is without a doubt the #1 resource for any coach. The academy guided our implementation of the offense. We embraced Dr. Cella's system 100%. I was hired by Questa in May, immediately hired Dr. Cella, completed the Triple Option Football Academy, and five months later, we won as many games as the previous EIGHT YEARS COMBINED! God Bless Dr. Cella."

    - Larry Roybal, Head Football Coach

  • Tussey Mountain (PA) Tussey Mountain (PA)

From 2015-2017, Tussey Mountain High School (PA) went 2-28 (including a 1-9 season in 2017).

In 2018, after running a camp with Dr. Cella, Tussey Mountain went from 1 win to 8 wins and went to the District 5 Class A Semifinals in Anthony Sottasante's first season as head coach. They went on to go 26-6 over the next 3 seasons.

"Dr. Cella is a highly-skilled Sports Psychologist and triple option coach that totally understands this offense to the fullest. The most impressive thing about him is his ability to teach players and coaches at a very rapid rate. His organization and time management are the best I have seen.

"You will learn how to efficiently run this offense and maximize your usage of time. Anyone who has coached high school football with kids playing on both sides of the ball recognizes that time is precious and must be utilized to the fullest.

"Dr. Cella will increase your practice efficiency way beyond the triple option. I give him my highest recommendation."

    - Anthony Sottasante, Head Football Coach

  • Bethesda Chevy Chase (MD) Bethesda Chevy Chase (MD)

In 2019, Bethesda Chevy Chase (MD) won 2 games, and did not play in 2020 due to COVID.

In 2021, after hosting a camp with Dr. Cella, BCC won six (6) games, hosted a home playoff game, and had the school's first winning season since 2012.

THEN, in 2023, after hosting their THIRD CONSECUTIVE camp with Dr. Cella, BCC goes to the Maryland Class 4A State Quarterfinals for the first time in over 30 years.

"We have worked with Dr. Cella since 2020 doing both the Academy and the camp. He has been an incredible resource and we have seen great results. I thoroughly enjoy his camp and think it goes a long way in helping to instill a foundation and understanding of our new offense with our players. We went 2-7 in 2019 with 1,400 yards and 11 touchdowns before working with Dr. Cella and doubled those numbers in 2021 with a 6-4 record, just under 2700 yards, and 29 TDs. He is a great guy, available 24/7, and definitely one you want in your corner!"

    - Ben Minturn, Head Football Coach

  • Hollister San Benito (CA) Hollister San Benito (CA)

Before the 2011 season, Hollister San Benito HS (CA) had not won their conference championship, the TCAL, in seven (7) years.

In 2011, after running a camp with Lou Cella as Camp Director, Hollister San Benito HS (CA) won the TCAL Conference Championship, went undefeated in conference play, and made it to the CIF Division 1 Quarterfinals.

"After coaching the Hollister Haybalers of San Benito High School for the past 17 years with good success, I found myself and our coaching staff in a bit of an offensive rut. I began to research the Triple Option offense. I had heard about the camp.

"Lou came out to Hollister, California and put on a great camp for our team. Our players had the opportunity to work together to learn the flexbone offense in the summer months preceding our football season, and having Lou, who is truly an unparalleled expert in this field, work directly with our players was simply invaluable. In addition, Lou provided our entire coaching staff with an intensive, exceptional on-the-field clinic. I give a tremendous amount of credit for our 2011 UNDEFEATED LEAGUE SEASON to Lou!"

    - Chris Cameron, Head Football Coach

  • Seminole County (GA) Seminole County (GA)

In 2011, after working with Lou Cella as Camp Director, Seminole County (GA) broke the school record for wins in a season and advanced to the Georgia Class A state quarterfinals.

"I have been coaching high school football for 40 years now and began with the wishbone offense, so I had a good background in option football. After spending 7 years with my high school coach and running the power game from the I-formation during the late 70's and early 80's I changed schools and incorporated the I-power with the option and ran this offense for years. When the midline came along we added it to the inside and outside veer, but still stayed exclusively with the I-formation.

"I give you this background because 'old dogs can not———'.

"It just so happens that my youngest son is working with Ken Niumatalolo at the Naval Academy as an offensive line coach and run game coordinator. My oldest son is the head football coach at Riverwood High School in Atlanta, Ga., and has been running the flexbone for several years, but 'old dogs——'.

"It just so happens that I finally decided to play around with the flexbone during the past two years and thought I knew what I was doing. I gave Lou a call and we hit it off immediately so we set up a camp in Atlanta with my team and Robert's team at Riverwood during last summer (2010). I learned so much at the camp that we ran the flexbone almost entirely during the 2010 season and the results were unbelievable.

"23 school records including an 11-2 season, the elite 8 in the playoffs (should have won the state bit 5 fumbles in the first half after only losing only 8 during the whole season and playing a metro Atlanta Private School - yes we have problems with recruiting in Georgia like the rest of you do). We rushed for4,373 yard, our Two A backs averaged 11.8 and 10.4 yards per touch, we scored 71 touchdowns and averaged 49 points per game (most games were over with by half with a running clock during the second half). Overall, our backs averaged7.9 yards per carry and that includes the J.V. backs who had over 135 carries collectively for the season. We also threw the seam routes for 880 yards and scored 9 touchdowns. That gave us 80 offensive touchdowns for the 13 game season.

"Lou did an outstanding job at the camp I personally consider him one of my closest friends because he is always avaiable to help. He does such a great job of installing fundamentals and mechanics.

"This was the first 11 win season in school history so remember 'old dogs can'."

    - Alan Ingram, Head Football Coach

  • Corning-Painted Post (NY) Corning-Painted Post (NY)

In 2014, George Bacalles was hired as Head Football Coach at Corning High School (NY) after serving as Assistant Coach for several years.

In 2014, Corning High School (NY) went to the state quarterfinals after their Triple Option Football Academy and Triple Option Football Academy Camp.

"We have been an option team for many years, though our players struggled at times dealing with different blocking schemes for different defenses. Lou came to us in 2013 and helped us simplify the offense and allow our players to be successful, ending with 9-2 record last season. The Triple Option Football Academy (2014) and camp Lou directed allowed us to improve the techniques at each position on the field, improving us at each position. We are very thankful for making the investment in Lou's Triple Option Football Academy Camp."

    - George Bacalles, Head Football Coach

  • Piedra Vista (NM) Piedra Vista (NM)

In 2011, Piedra Vista (NM) was running the spread offense and won three (3) games.

In 2012, after running a camp with Lou Cella as Camp Director, Piedra Vista won nine (9) games and made it to the state quarterfinals.

"It is never to late to make the right decision. After evaluating our offensive production the previous year, we knew we had to fix our run game. We decided to make a commitment to running the veer. We were able to set up a camp.

"In 2012, we averaged 38 points a game and 400 yards of offense, finishing the year 9-3 after losing in the state quarterfinals. We also notched wins against a team our school had never beaten before and defeated the 2011 defending state champions.

"One thing that I think people don't talk about enough is that switching to this system made us better defensively also. Our ability to control the ball on offense helped us win field position and time of possession battles, and more importantly, kept the opponent's offense off the field!"

    - Jared Howell, Head Football Coach

  • Johnson (NJ) Johnson (NJ)

In 2010, Johnson HS (NJ) had their worst season since 2005. Because of this, Johnson HS (NJ) hired Head Coach, Mike Mancino; however, Coach Mancino was hired only two months before the start of training camp.

In 2011, after running a camp with Lou Cella as Camp Director, Johnson HS (NJ) made the State Quarterfinals.

"On behalf of the 2011 Arthur L. Johnson Football Team, I wish to thank you for your help in making our 2011 season such a success. With the bulk of our team being underclassmen and having a new staff, implementing a new offense was a bit risky. Our entire staff agreed that our team hit their stride after hosting your camp in August.

"At the camp the staff and players learned the intricacies of the offense and came away with the confidence needed to compete with the toughest schedule our team has seen in years. Statistically we finished 6-4, qualified for the state playoffs, rushed for over 2600 yards, had a plus 70 edge in total offensive plays and set the school record for rushing yards by a quarterback at 1,103."

    - Mike Mancino, Head Football Coach

  • Rainier (WA) Rainier (WA)

In 2017, after becoming a Triple Option Football Academy client and working with Dr. Cella, Rainier (WA) had their best season in 26 years, reached the state playoffs for the first time since 1991, and made it to the Washington Class 2B State Quarterfinals.

"Rainier Football has played around with the triple for a few years. This past season we went to the Triple Option Academy and had our school's best season in 26 years (7-3, losing twice to the defending state champs) and reaching the State Playoffs for the first time since 1991. The part that impressed me the most was Dr. Cella's availability throughout the season. Whenever we called with detail questions about the system, he had time for us."

    - Terry Shaw, Head Football Coach

  • Hollis (OK) Hollis (OK)

In 2021, Hollis (OK) finished 2-6.

In 2022, after running their Triple Option Football Academy Camp with Dr. Cella, Hollis (OK) won 8 games, went to the second round of the Oklahoma State Playoffs, and averaged over 400 yards/game of offense.

"I had Dr. Cella come in and do a camp in mid July. The camp simplified some things we were already doing, and got the kids on the same page. We changed our terminology to what we used in camp. Our play book became streamlined, and we worked rep after rep against all different defensive scenarios, it didn't really matter what we saw defensively we had worked against that front and the kids were confident in what they were doing. It helped us tremendously on defense also, because an 8 minute drive became common for us. We committed to running the ball out the flex and taking what the defense gave us. Offensively we averaged over 400 yards a night and when you can do that you are a hard team to beat."

    - Trent Shelby, Head Football Coach

  • Odessa-Harrington (WA) Odessa-Harrington (WA)

In 2015, after running a camp with Dr. Lou Cella as Camp Director, Odessa-Harrington (WA) scored 508 points in 11 games, averaged 46 points/game, made it to the second round of the Washington State Playoffs, and did all this with a roster of 20 players.

"Dr. Cella is an absolutely fantastic instructor of triple-option football who taught our players as if he were coaching his own team. From the very beginning of camp he arrived with an enthusiasm, excitement and a passion for football that was infectious for our entire team and coaching staff.

"Dr. Cella incorporated a fast-paced, up tempo style that allowed all of our players to have multiple repetitions, thus enabling each of them to easily understand the proper techniques and concepts that were being taught.

"Not only is Dr. Cella a master at teaching the proper fundamentals of the triple-option, he also impressed upon our team a mental toughness that is essential in having success on and off the football field. Our camp was a great success and Dr. Cella is truly dedicated to turning programs into champions."

    - Jeff Nelson, Head Football Coach

  • Lakewood (SC) Lakewood (SC)

Before the 2011 season, Lakewood HS (SC) had one winning season in school history.

In 2011, after running a camp with Lou Cella as Camp Director, Lakewood HS (SC) started the season 5-0 for the first time in school history, broke the school record for wins in a season (8), and made the playoffs.

"This past summer, we had Lou Cella run a camp for our varsity and JV program. We began running the flexbone the previous season; however we wanted to learn how to effectively implement the system in a step-by-step manner. Not only did the camp help our players, it also worked as an on-the-field clinic for my entire coaching staff.

"The experience not only made our players better, it also helped our coaching staff to become better coaches in the system, and the money spent on the camp gave us far better returns than taking the staff to a clinic. We learned how to effectively implement all aspects of the flexbone offense and how to incorporate meaningful reps in practice. Our offensive production increased from 18 points per game in 2010 to 31 points per game in 2011. I highly recommend the camp for anyone that is looking to become more proficient in running this offense."

    - Chris Collins, Head Football Coach

  • Ontario Christian (CA) Ontario Christian (CA)

In 2019, after running a Triple Option Football Academy Camp with Dr. Cella, Ontario Christian (CA) goes to the CIF State Quarterfinals, and set a multitude of school records.

"This past offseason we made the decision to have Dr Cella run his Triple option camp for our program. This was one of the best decisions we made and we plan to do it again next year. With Dr Cella's help, we established an Offensive Identity. We know exactly who we are, how we are going to attack our opponents, and how we will adjust. That Identity has been powerful for us as a program. Never before has each player and coach known undoubtedly their role within the offense. This has changed the trajectory of our program, impacted how we approach practice, teaching, and coaching on both sides of the ball."

    - Matt Hoekstra, Head Football Coach

  • Kasson-Mantorville (MN) Kasson-Mantorville (MN)

In 2017, after becoming a Triple Option Football Academy client and working with Dr. Cella, Kasson-Mantorville (MN) had their first undefeated regular season in nearly 10 years, averaged 35 points/game, and over 300 yards rushing/game.

"We had been running the triple option for 2 years and felt we were getting pretty good but wanted to take our game to the next level. Our goal is to win a State championship. After becoming a Triple Option Academy for the 2017 season and working with Dr. Lou Cella, we enjoyed our first undefeated regular season since 2009 and beat our main rival who we had not beaten since that year. We finished as our District runner up, averaging 35 points and over 300 yards rushing per game."

    - Terry Donovan, Offensive Coordinator

  • Garden County (NE) Garden County (NE)

In 2019, after running a Triple Option Football Academy Camp with Dr. Cella, Garden County (NE) had an undefeated regular season.

"Dr. Cella's on site camp was systematic and he did an outstanding job of installing the triple option offense. Once we had it installed he was available 24/7 for any assistance that we needed. This offense was a game changer for us. It allowed us to win games that we wouldn't have in our old offense. It is truly a system that was completely effective for us. The longer we have used this system, the more we like it, and the better our team has become. The last two years we have been 16-4 and made the second round of our state playoffs. If you are looking for a system that takes all the guesswork out of play calling and forces a defense to be wrong no matter what they do, you have found it in the 8 man triple option offense."

    - Jason Spady, Head Football Coach

  • Hereford (MD) Hereford (MD)

In 2013, after working with Triple Option Football Academy Owner, Lou Cella, Hereford HS (MD) won the Baltimore County Division I Football Conference Championship in Head Coach Steve Turnbaugh's final season as Head Football Coach.

After Hereford's seventh-straight win in 2013, Steve retired after a 19-year career coaching his son, Brock, and coaching at his alma mater.

"We did the academy this past off-season. In my opinion it was worth every penny we invested. We had been running the triple since 2005. I attended Navy clinics, other clinics, bought videos etc…

"However, I picked up more during those sessions with Lou than I ever could imagine. If I had questions, Lou was there with an answer.

"We lost many players from our 2012 team. We were basically starting from scratch with our 2013 team. The academy had us prepared for any situation. Though we started 0-3 (many injuries, including using a # 3 QB) we finished winning the last 7 games.

"Though this was my last season, I am still involved in the triple option and would run that offense in a second, if I do decide to resume coaching again.

"Thank you Lou for all your time. It was well worth it."

    - Steve Turnbaugh, Head Football Coach

    BUT WAIT…

Then in 2019, Steve returns to Hereford as an Assistant Coach, Hereford hires Dr. Cella AGAIN, starts the season 0-3 AGAIN, and wins their next seven games AGAIN.

  • South Border (ND) South Border (ND)

Before the 2019 season, South Border (ND) hadn't won a football game since 2016.

In 2019, after running their Triple Option Football Academy Camp with Dr. Cella, South Border won four (4) games and finished #17 in the state. They did all this with a roster of 16 players.

"After going two seasons without a win, we held a camp in 2019 and installed the Triple Option Offense with Dr. Cella. We ended the season 4-5 and missed the playoffs by one game. At the end of the season we were ranked 17th in the state with the top 16 going to playoffs. We have made a huge turnaround and the future is bright. Thanks Dr. Cella."

    - Quentin Schumacher, Head Football Coach

  • St. John Paul II (AZ) St. John Paul II (AZ)

In 2021, St. John Paul II had their first winning season in school history after hosting an online camp with Dr. Cella.

"St. John Paul II Catholic High School is the newest Catholic school in Phoenix, AZ. JP2 opened in 2018 with 13 players and had not won a varsity game in school history. After conducting an online camp with Dr. Lou Cella, (despite the covid shutdown in 2020), in just our second varsity season in 2A, JP2 posted its first winning season, 5-4, in school history. Dr. Cella gave us a clear mission and vision that helped our team toward success this 2021 season.

"My name is John Padilla, head coach at JP2 with 34 years of coaching experience and 7 as a head football coach. As a former offensive lineman in high school and college, I love running the ball. I have always loved the triple option, I just never knew how to implement and run the triple option. Thanks, Dr. Lou Cella you made learning the system simple and easy. I would recommend to anyone that wants to learn, understand and implement the triple option to hire you."

    - John Padilla, Head Football Coach

  • East Davidson (NC) East Davidson (NC)

From 2018-2020 East Davidson won five (5) games in three (3) seasons including a 1-10 season in 2019.

In 2021, after working with Dr. Cella, East Davidson won six (6) games, rushed for OVER 300 yards/game, and made the playoffs.

"Dr. Cella taught us how to install the flexbone offense using his installation progressions, which prepared us for any opponent.

"Prior to joining TOFA, EDHS finished 2-9 in 2018 and 1-10 in 2019. After working with Dr. Cella, we finished 6-5 in 2021. We were second in our conference and made the playoffs for only the 10th time since 1961. We averaged 308 rushing yards per game and dominated time of possession.

"Dr. Cella is a great teacher and motivator. He is available 24/7 and tells you what you need to hear to win more games. I highly recommend Dr. Cella and the TOFA."

    - Vance Hanner, Head Football Coach

  • Regis (OR) Regis (OR)

In 2019, Regis (OR) won just two (2) games.

In 2021, which was Regis' first full season played since the pandemic, Brynie Robinson left Colton High School (OR) and was named the Head Football Coach at Regis. This move occurred in JULY, which was mere weeks before the start of camp.

After working with Dr. Cella, Regis won six (6) games, had their first playoff appearance in six (6) years, averaged over 30 points/game, and did all this with a ROSTER OF 21 PLAYERS.

"Hey Lou, I am writing to thank you for being the spark that started the transition from what we were running offensively to the Triple Option Offense. We transitioned from Colton where we spent 4 years coaching to Regis in July, 2021. In our FIRST YEAR, we averaged 30 points per game and over 3,000 yards of total offense."

    - Brynie Robinson, Head Football Coach

  • Shadow Ridge (NV) Shadow Ridge (NV)

Shadow Ridge (NV) went from one (1) win in 2015 to five (5) wins in 2016, and led Nevada's largest classification, Class 4A, in rushing with 305 yards/game after their Triple Option Football Academy Camp with Dr. Cella.

Having committed to the triple option the year prior, we knew we had some kinks that we needed help ironing out. We hosted a Triple Option Football Academy Camp in the summer of 2016.

Following Dr. Cella's camp, we went on and increased our win total by four games. We led all 4A teams in the state of Nevada averaging over 305 yards rushing a game, and we broke numerous school records in the process. The most beneficial aspect of the Triple Option Football Academy was the practice structure Dr. Cella puts in place. It is up-paced and makes the most use of your practice time. We owe a great deal of credit to Dr. Cella for our success."

    - Travis Foster, Head Football Coach

  • Riverwood (GA) Riverwood (GA)

Before the 2010 season, Riverwood HS (GA) had not won five (5) games in a season since 2005.

In 2011, after running a camp with Lou Cella as Camp Director, Riverwood High School (GA) won five (5) games in a season for the first time since 2005.

"When we arrived at Riverwood in 2008, we realized quickly how undersized we were up front. I have always been an 'option guy' and wanted to run what I considered option football. After all, there was no way we could compete with our size and lack of athleticism running the I or Gun.

"After three years of mediocrity, we realized that we had become a “multiple” offensive team running more wing-t than option. After a trip to the Naval Academy in the Spring of 2011 to visit with my brother, offensive line coach, Ashley Ingram, we decided to look at having Lou come in and help us along the way.

"We decided to join ranks with Seminole County and have a two-team camp. My Dad is the head coach at Seminole County and we had scrimmaged each other the past two years. Our players were familiar with each other and the coaching staffs had a great relationship. Lou Cella came in and transformed our football teams.

"Seminole County went on to have the greatest season in the history of the school. Riverwood went 5-5 year and lost one game in OT and another by four points. Our turnover margin went from -11 in 2010 to +9 in 2011. We scored an average of 46 points in the last four weeks of the season and had only one turnover in that stretch, while beating the #4 ranked team in the state of Georgia. We scored on every possession.

"Ball security and fundamentals have always been the cornerstone of our program. Thank you Lou. You made the difference."

    - Rob Ingram, Head Football Coach

  • Poland (ME) Poland (ME)

In 2009 and 2010, Poland Regional HS (ME) won a grand total of two games. The school hired Head Football Coach, Ted Tibbetts, less than two months before the start of training camp.

In 2011, after running a camp with Lou Cella as Camp Director, Poland Regional HS (ME), earned the best winning percentage in school history, won twice as many games as they had the previous two seasons and broke school records for rushing, passing, and points scored.

"Our Flexbone camp had a tremendous impact on our record setting season. A developing program less than 9 years old, we have never been able to score enough points to beat the better teams in our league.

"Coming into this season we knew that we needed to make some changes if we wanted to emerge as a one of the dominant teams in the league. The camp changed our program in many ways. First, players really knew their assignments and how to execute them effectively. Second, as a coaching staff we significantly increased our understanding of the offense and how to teach it. Most significantly, however, our kids now love the system. In the past, because we haven't been a strong team, getting the players and the community to see the power of option football was a challenge. However, this year, even experiencing a setback from a penalty or an unexpected defense, our kids just shrugged it off. 'No big deal,' they would say. 'We can break one at any time.' And often times, we did.

"We set program records this year in yards rushing, passing, and in points scored. Our quarterback alone had over 1,000 yards in total offense. While we finished 4-4, narrowly missing the play-offs, our record doesn't fully reflect our growth. The two prior seasons we were a 2-14 combined. Moreover, this year we steadily improved beating playoff bound teams at the end of our season. Our kids can't stop talking about getting back on the field next year.

"We are thrilled about our experience! Lou did a great job preparing players and coaching staff for the season. I'm most impressed with his personal touch and commitment to our team. He welcomes any questions at any time and often asks about players that he worked with by name. We feel that our growth as a program has just begun and that the camp was a vital catalyst in the process."

    - Ted Tibbetts, Head Football Coach

  • Temple City (CA) Temple City (CA)

In 2011, Temple City High School (CA) went 1-9.

In 2012, after running a camp with Lou Cella as Camp Director, Temple City went from one (1) win to five (5) wins and obtained a playoff berth.

"This past July we hosted a camp with Lou Cella as the director. It was, in my opinion, the best endeavor I have ever participated in with regards to improving a football team towards a specific goal. I have not seen such a unilateral result, from coaches to players, with any other method.

"The greatness of the camp is in the breadth of activity. Every position is taught and drilled, as well as position coaches. The camp is a systematic installation of the offense. Lou was phenomenal, his energy and passion for what he was teaching was infectious with the players and coaches.

"I have never witnessed a group of athletes improve more in 4 hours on the first day of camp, and the improvement continued throughout the duration. Any coach looking to run the flexbone offense would be crazy not to invest in a camp for their players and coaches."

    - Mike McFarland, Head Football Coach

  • Sargent (CO) Sargent (CO)

In 2018, after their Triple Option Football Academy Camp with Dr. Cella, Sargent had an 8-1 regular season and made it to the first round of the Colorado State Playoffs. They did this with a roster of 25 players.

"We asked Dr. Lou Cella to come in and do a camp with our team and he absolutely delivered! We were able to add a new dimension on offense and had another successful season with many new players in new positions. Lou brought energy and excitement, and we look forward to see what next season will bring with this new system."

    - Trevan Pepper, Head Football Coach
