The Triple Option Offense’s Scoop Block is the ultimate proof of character in football.

This is THE block in the Triple Option Offense that occurs when no one else is watching.

Here is how the Scoop is done.

Center and Backside Guard v 0 technique on Triple Option.  Center veers past the 0 while the  Backside Guard opens–runs flat past the 0–vertically crashes–and goes back to the huddle.

Scoop block versus no threat in gap. The Offensive Lineman Opens–Runs Flat–Touches the shoulder of the adjacent Offensive Lineman and works vertical.

Without the Scoop block, run throughs and backside pursuit would continuously occur.

The best Scoop blockers are the best character Offensive Linemen.
