Running Double Flex Down versus the Odd Stack

Running Double Flex Down versus the Odd Stack

A concept Georgia Tech has run more this year than in recent years is the Down.

The Down is utilized to load #1 when he takes the Quarterback on Triple.

Here, #1 gets down blocked by the A-Back (or Tackle if he aligns in a 4i).

The Down can also be utilized to thwart the Blood stunt (#1 on B, #2 on Q) to prevent the linebacker from running over the top.

This is what occurs:

Running the Down out of Double Flex versus the Odd Stack PR- Load PA- Down PT- Down PG- Trap 1st threat off PA C/BG/BT- Scoop BA- Pitch BR- Cutoff Q- Reverse out flat, hand out B-Back, and carry out fake to perimeter B- Open flat then downhill at inside hip of PT
