The Basics of Army, Navy, and Georgia Tech’s Triple Option Playcalling Process

The Basics of Army, Navy, and Georgia Tech’s Triple Option Playcalling Process

There is an “if-then” and procedural system to playcalling within the Triple Option Offense.

Army, Navy, and Georgia Tech have evolved in the specifics of this over the last few years.

Simply put–The Offense runs the Triple.  If the offense gets several yards on the Triple Option, run Triple Option again.

Have an answer for the following:

1. When the offense doesn’t get many yards on a give to the B-Back on Triple Option.

2. When the Offense don’t get many yards on a pull/pitch on Triple Option.

Army, Navy, and Georgia Tech have these answers–and you can read about these answers right here.

Learn how to oversimplify the process and install the Triple Option the right way the first time–right here.
