Utilizing Follow as a Constraint When #1 Cancels the B-Back on Triple

Georgia Tech and Army have been utilizing Follow as a pull read constraint in 2017.

When the defense forces a pull read on Triple Option, Tech and Army are basing #1 with the Tackle and the Quarterback follows the B-Back up the hole.

This way, when the Mike Linebacker runs over the top to take the Quarterback or pitch, the Quarterback is running up inside and the Mike runs himself out of the play.

Here is Follow versus the 4-2 defense.

Follow is blocked the same as Triple except the Playside Tackle bases and the Quarterback follows the B-Back.

This is more effective than Zone Dive, Zone Belly, or Outside Veer Give as the B-Back creates an extra blocker at the point of attack.

Utilize Follow when the defense forces a pull read on Triple.
