Running Midline Lead versus a 2i turns into Quarterback Iso.
Here, the Playside Receiver cracks while the Playside Tackle fans the 5-technique. The Playside Guard down blocks the 2i while the Center and Backside Guard double team the backside A-gap defender.
On the backside, the Tackle scoops the backside B-gap while the Backside Receiver cuts off the corner. The Backside A leaves just before the snap and when he gets behind the B-Back, he leads through the B-gap.
The Playside A inserts in the B-gap and blocks the Mike.
Quarterback progression is to take the snap, jump in the backside A-gap and point the ball. He will pull the ball, and insert in the B-gap between the two A-Back blocks and score. The B-Back will collision the first threat off the midline.
