Yesterday=Triple Option.  Today=Triple Pass.

Yesterday=Triple Option. Today=Triple Pass.

At yesterday’s Triple Option Football Academy Camp at Cypress Christian Academy in Houston, the Triple Option was executed for four hours.

Quarterbacks learned how to handle the Blood Stunt.

B-Backs learned how to run their path and bend behind the Action Key.

A-Backs learned how to run the pitch (big hammer step) and block #3.

Receivers learned how to block the Deep Defender.

The Offensive Line learned how to conceptualize their blocking.

They double the first defender inside of #1.

If this is a 3-technique, the Guard and Tackle double the 3, and everyone else scoops.

If this is a 2/2i/1-technique, the Center and Guard double the 2/2i/1, the Playside Tackle veers inside, and the Backside scoops.

If this is a 0-technique, the Center and Backside Guard double the 0, the Playside veers out, and the Backside Tackle scoops.

The Offensive Line got over 200 reps yesterday doing just this.

Today, the Triple Option expands.

Quarterbacks learn how to read the Easy Stunt.

A-Backs learn what to do when #3 is in the middle of the field (Load).

Receivers learn how to block the Deep Defender when #3 is aligned in a jam position (Cover 2).

 Then, the Pass off the Triple is installed.
