Navy’s #2 Concept of 2015: Zone Option (Illustrated vs. 3-4 Defense)

Navy’s #2 concept in 2015 was the Zone Option.  Zone Option is utilized when #1 forces a give read to the B-Back on Triple Option and the play results in less than four yards.  If this is the case, they get the ball to the outside with the Zone Option.  Navy has run Zone Option for about seven years and reportedly, Georgia Tech is adding the concept in 2016.
