Keep it simple.

Have six or fewer major concepts.

Add tags within each concept where skill position players would change assignments — keep blocking the same for the Offensive Line.

Allow players to play fast.

Ran Midline (with 10 variations) more than the Inside Veer in 2016.

Have a plan, an identity, and be committed — there is no identity crisis at Navy.

Can you fix your problems when things go wrong, and what is your Plan B?

In more than half of Navy’s games in 2016, the team they played aligned in a defense different than their base.

What gives us trouble?  Really good players and really good coaches with a really good plan give us trouble.
