Throwing Four Verticals from the Heavy Formation

First, get aligned in the Heavy formation.

If the call is Heavy Right, Vert Lt. (70), the Offensive Line slides away from the call, the B blocks the first threat outside the Guard, and the eligible receivers run up the field.

The quarterback has a 5-step drop, and throws the ball to the Playside A. The safety will be occupied by the receiver, who is aligned as an offensive tackle.

It’s that simple.
