Triple Option Football Academy Playbook: Follow versus the 6-3 Defense

In Short Yardage/Goal-line situations, nine-man fronts are commonplace.

This is an example of one of those situations.

The Follow gets the extra blocker (B-Back) involved in the play.

When this happens, the Quarterback follows the B up the hole.

The rules on Follow are the same as Triple EXCEPT the Playside Tackle base blocks and the Quarterback follow the B up the hole (The Quarterback does not point the ball on Follow)

Here’s how this looks versus the 6-3.
