Triple Option Football Academy Playbook: Triple Option Offense versus Eagle Defense Compilation

At the high school level, the Eagle defense is prevalent.

This is when the defense aligns with a 0 technique and two defensive linemen covering the guards.

The following are examples of the Triple Option Offensive Concepts executed versus Eagle Defenses:

Triple Option versus 5-3 Double Eagle (No #1). The Quarterback will keep giving the ball until the defense covers the Playside Tackle. The Center and Guard Ace the 2-technique for the B-Back. (Triple Option Football Academy)

Over Right, Zone Right. Here The Receivers have the Near Deep Defender. The Playside A-back blocks whoever shows in the alley. Likely this could be nobody. The Playside Tackle has the key block as he scoops the 5-technique (must stay on his feet). The B-Back has an easy block as he walls off the Mike linebacker. The Quarterback is going to pitch off a widened #2. Unless the defense brings someone over from the backside to the over side, they are going to have difficulty defensing this concept.
