When defenses align in eight-man fronts, the Triple Option Offense could take the opportunity to align in the Over Formation.
If the defense brings someone from the backside to the Over side to match up numbers, now there is one less defender to the Nub side, and the primary/secondary run force defender is in the count.
This can spell big trouble for defenses.
Over Right, Triple Left versus 4-4. #2 has to play the Quarterback and the Pitch as #3 is loaded by the A. If #2 takes the Quarterback NOBODY is there to take the pitch and the Backside A will have a clear path to the end zone.
Over Triple versus Odd Stack. If the Playside A runs the circle on #3, there is no secondary force and once the ball is pitched, this is big problems for the defense.
