Four verticals is the elite passing concept versus one-high safety defenses such as the 4-4.
Here, the safety is bound to cover one of the two A-backs releasing up the field.
The Quarterback simply throws to the other one.

Q- Five-step drop (versus one safety throw to A-back opposite of whom the Safety covers)
