Running Zoom (Midline Triple Option) versus Two Run-Support Players

Triple Option Football Academy

Midline Triple Option can be run when there are two run-support players.

Instead of defaulting to Lead (Midline Double Option), the Playside A-Back makes a “Tiger” call, which alerts the Playside Tackle to drop-cross-run and block the first defender who shows in the alley.

The Playside A will block the second defender who shows in the alley.

Every other player’s assignment stays the same.
