The Triple Option Football Academy cultivates an elite performance environment by focusing on actualization, awareness, self-mastery, and peak experiences for its participants.
Founded by Sport and Performance Psychologist Dr. Lou Cella, the Academy, established in 2013, expanded from Dr. Cella’s 1990s educational efforts to include camps in 2010.
Camps feature a rigorous 64-play sequence daily over three days, culminating in Q&A sessions.
The online Academy provides a 2-year membership with extensive resources like the 2025 3-Step Clinic, a 100+ hour video library, and 24/7 on-call support from Dr. Cella.
Dr. Cella’s mission to lead through sports science and mental conditioning has led to remarkable turnarounds:
* Tyrone (OK): 5-5 in 2019 to 2020 State Champions (51.4 PPG).
* Falls City (TX): First regional and state championship in school history (2010).
* Haverford (PA): 1-9 in 2023 to 11-2 in 2024, league title, and first home playoff win.
Coaches consistently report mastering the Flexbone Triple Option offense. This led to achieving drastically increased practice efficiency, and experiencing program transformation due to Dr. Cella’s proven system and continuous support.
Before the 2010 season, Falls City HS (TX) had never won a regional championship in school history.
In 2010, after running a camp with Lou Cella as Camp Director, Falls City HS (TX) won the Regional and State Championship for the first time in school history in Texas while scoring 680 points in 15 games.
