How Navy Took at 27-20 Lead Over #6 Houston (2016): B-Back Toss Pass out of Over Flex

Navy defeated #6 ranked Houston on Saturday.  During the game, the score was tied 20-20.  Navy brought the Receiver over from the right side to the left side and aligned this Receiver in a flexed position.  They faked the Toss to the B-Back.  As this occurred, the Playside Safety ran to the Toss.  Navy ran the Playside A back vertically past this safety for a touchdown.  At this point, Navy took at 27-20 lead.  Here is the B-Back Toss Pass diagrammed for you:

The Playside Receiver and the A-Backs all ran verticals while the Flexed Received bailed behind the line of scrimmage because he is ineligible due to being covered by the Playside Receiver.  Navy’s Offensive Line based on the playside and hinged on the backside.  The Quarterback faked the toss to the B-Back, dropped back, and threw the ball to the Playside A for a game-leading touchdown.

Navy is now the #25 ranked team in the country–all with ZERO scholarship football players.  The Triple Option Offense is a huge reason why.
