Army ran Rocket 3% of the time in 2019.

Navy ran Rocket 3% of the time in 2019.

In regards to all Toss plays by Army and Navy in 2019:

Army averaged a toss play (Rocket, B-Toss) 4% of the time.

Navy averaged a toss play (Rocket, B-Toss) 5% of the time.

In 2007, which was Paul Johnson’s last season at Navy, Rocket Toss was 11% of the Navy Offense.

In 2019, Rocket Toss was 3% of the Navy Offense.

Why?  The effectiveness of the Zone Option/Zone Kick (Power) has become the undisputed give constraint for Army and Navy over the last decade.
