The Sprint Pass is a great concept to utilize on 3rd and 10.
When Josh Nesbitt was Quarterback at Georgia Tech from 2008-2010, he told Triple Option Football Academy Owner, Lou Cella that this was the #1 most utilized pass concept in the offense.
Here are examples of the Sprint Pass in action.
Sprint Pass vs. Odd Stack
PR- Vertical for 16 yards–comes back to football at 14 yards.
PA, OL- Gate protection.
BA- Flat Mo, 10-yard out.
BR- Post
Q- Sprint Steps–throw to PR UNLESS flat defender covers flash… if so, throw to Backside A-Back.
B- Sprint Path
